RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safe and Effective Compliance to daily Pre Start equipment inspections and Operation
  • Perform Field Level Risk Assessments and Entry Examinations at the work areas and ensure the health and safety of team members, visitors and contractors at the working area.
  • To take full responsibility for all blasting related operations, infrastructure and resources.
  • To take full responsibility for proper care, conditions, and use of all blasting machinery and equipment.
  • Prepare for charging activities
  • Ensure all Charging activities are Recorded and reported
  • Ensure that facilities and equipment are being used safely and that appropriate work method is being applied.
  • Uncouple equipment are remove from workplace
  • Perform charging activities
  • Ensure safery is followed when working at height
  • Install services, air, water, ventilation
  • Conduct dewatering activities
  • Perform I-Kon blasting
  • Identify improved charging & blasting methods
  • Observe advanced metre  per blast
  • Assist with the training and skills development of trainees.
  • To provide technical, practical and field support in various working areas of the mine focusing in increasing work effectiveness and productivity while lowering cost through improved good operational practices.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                              

  • Ordinary secondary education
  • Underground Blasting Licence
  • Valid Driving Licence

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  •   Minimum of 3 years underground Mining experience preferably in blasting operations

Duration: 2 Years

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure active waste and ore development faces are mapped in accordance to the scheduled plan.
  • Update daily grade control drill hole information on the appropriate “Database/Spreadsheets” in an accurate and timely manner
  • Complete and accurate grade control database (including QAQC component) and Ore Production database/spreadsheets available at all times
  • Ensure the delineation of economically mineable ore zone to ensure minimum dilution and maximum recovery of gold
  • Active involvement and assistance in underground grade control practices and procedures through effective monitoring and communication.
  • Ensure timely and accurate underground sampling, lithological and structural mapping, and logging of core to provide geological information for the optimum mine design and daily decision-making processes.
  • Ensure updated underground channel/face sample results are available in both paper and digital version, geological logging and assay reporting proceeds
  • Ensure underground channel and grade control samples are delivered to the laboratory in a timely manner, sample submission forms are complete and accurate, samples are clearly labelled and in correct order, and that QAQC samples are present according to procedure.
  • Develop a sound knowledge of the geological controls of the different ore bodies at Bulyanhulu Mine and the regional geological settings.
  • Provide the geological support to ensure the optimum development of the ore body.
  • Complete project work and presentations to a professional standard as and when required.
  • Ensure that employees and contractors comply with Barrick’s safety and environmental standards and any legislative requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate geology inputs to facilitate the preparation of mine plans.
  • Develop an understanding of support standards and methods used underground to ensure a safe working environment
  • Monitor the progress of geology resources against daily production plans.  Assess delays and re-prioritise tasks / personnel as required.  Immediately inform the Underground Geology Superintendent or Mineral Resources Manager of delays that may affect mining targets
  • Monitor underground Ore mining and haulage practices to ensure are conducted according to agreed standards and procedures
  • Achievement of agreed targets for the department in terms of minimum dilution of Ore, maximum gold grade production, delineation of resources and reserves and Update and monitor systems to ensure geology and assay databases are complete, accurate and accessible.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                              

University Level Certification in Geology (BSc Geology degree)

Valid Tanzanian Driving Licence

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years working experiences in underground mine

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings
  • Wear the appropriate PPE for the task at hand;
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Comply with maintenance procedures and ensure all task are completed to OEM standards
  • Conduct equipment pre start checks and daily inspection
  • Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance for generators in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production and cost Targets
  • Conduct troubleshooting, fault finding and corrective maintenance for generators and CAT Engines.
  • Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.

  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to the Supervisor on conditions that may affect functionality of equipment.
  • Comply on shift handover process.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                              

Mechanical trade certificate – (FTC, IMTT & VETA)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

3 – 5 Years’ experience in a similar role(Generator Technician)

Position purpose:

This position is responsible for all preventative, scheduled and breakdown maintenance on all of the mines HV activities as guid­ed by your immediate supervisor and trainer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Installation of 11KV/1000v high voltage elec­trical systems for underground applications.
  • Install and maintain mine communications systems. (Leeky feeder)
  • Install and maintain mine primary and secondary ventila­tion systems.
  • Maintain l-kon firing lines.
  • Maintain mine dewatering systems including Flygt and Stalker pump rebuilds.
  • Maintains a high level of housekeeping in the working ar­eas at all times.
  • Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals.
  • Advise immediate supervisor of parts used and any addi­tional part requirements.
  • Report all faults to the Supervisor ASAP.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years Underground Mining experience in hard rock mechanised mine
  • Must have exposure to Sandvik Drill Equipment Jumbo, Solo,Q-Bex
  • HV Switching ticket.
  • Strong background working in underground mining.
  • Able to operate all types of hand tools.
  • Understanding maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
  • Willingness to learn and gain further experience with ev­erything HV.
  • Positive attitude to labour intensive duties.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work auton­omously.
  • Familiarity with Pronto XI Maintenance Management Pro­gram.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Republic of Tanzania is hosting over 150,000 Burundian asylum seekers and refugees who have arrived in the country in several waves since April 2015. The majority of refugees and asylum-seekers are hosted by the Government of Tanzania in three refugee camps in the Kigoma region of Tanzania, namely: Nyarugusu, Nduta, and Mtendeli.

 

Since 2017, IOM, in coordination with UNHCR, the governments of the United  Republic of Tanzania and Burundi, as well as local NGOs, has been responsible for the safe and orderly voluntary repatriation of Burundian refugees. Voluntary repatriation (VolRep) of refugees is a traditional area of intervention for IOM, in partnership with UNHCR. Such returns are achieved in accordance with protection concerns and procedures, and the principle of voluntariness.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Under the Direct supervision of the Emergency Operations Officer in Kibondo, and in close coordination with the Chief Medical Officer in Kasulu, the incumbent will carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
• Perform pre-embarkation medical checks for all refugees planned for voluntary repatriation prior to departure.
• Coordinate with camp clinic to admission or management of chronic and acute conditions for stability prior to departure.
• Follow up on all medical cases referred to camp clinic to ensure adequate management.
• Supervise IOM VolRep Nurses while they conduct pre-embarkation medical checks.
• Ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting of all activities on the preembarkation checks, as per IOM standards.
• In coordination with the VolRep Project Assistant plan travel arrangements and logistics requirements for medical cases during travel.
• Ensure ambulance escort for the travel convoy is adequately equipped.
• Ensure regular training of IOM Migration Health staff on all relevant technical instructions on pre-embarkation checks and treatment

• Maintain the confidentiality and security of migration health data and prevent fraud throughout the health screening process.

IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University Degree in Medicine – MBChB.

The programme has three key pillars of (i) migration management, (ii) partnerships, and (iii) Crisis response and Its currently being implemented in 19 African Countries.  The ARMP focuses on strengthening Governmental structures, policies, processes, and approaches that can ensure sustainable and humane migration management using evidence-based protocols, processes, and procedures.

In this context, IOM Tanzania seeks to hire a Consultant to coordinate and support strengthening the capacity-building portfolio in migration data of relevant national governmental bodies in Tanzanian Mainland and Zanzibar. The consultant will also provide support to the research team in all aspects of performing qualitative and quantitative data collection that are part of this study on the migration dynamics and migrant characteristics of Ethiopians and Somalis transiting through Tanzania along the Southern Route. The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

The objective of the consultancy: 

In coordination with the Programme Coordinator, the Consultant is expected to produce the following deliverables:

  • Advise and assist the Mission to facilitate the establishment of a technical working group aiming to map and define existing migration data sources across the various line ministries to inform reporting and strengthen understanding of the migration dynamics and its characteristics across the country
  • Advise and assist the Mission’s support to the national statistics offices (NBS and OCGS) in monitoring progress towards the Agenda 2030 targets. Through the Voluntary National review and localized voluntary national reviews, including streamlining migration data indicators therein.
  • Advise and assist the Mission with integrating migration data in the national statistics offices (NBS and OCGS) strategic plans, developing migration profiles, and including migration and displacement statistics issues.
  • Conduct an in-depth assessment and analysis of the national statistics offices (NBS and OCGS) migration data capacity needs. Identify gaps in existing migration data, specific data needs for national and international migration policymaking, and relevant actors’ migration data capacities.

  • Support an update of the IOM study on the irregular migration of Horn of Africa migrants on the southern route. The consultant will:

    • Oversee data cleaning and data editing and data validation. Clean and analyze data for rigorous research and policy writing; In addition to conduct literature reviews and synthesize evidence, the consultant will liaise and coordinate with identified primary respondents.
    • Conduct desk research focusing on the southern migration route, including consolidating the desk research and interviews’ findings.

Background/Rationale:

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has been working with the Government, international and local partners to combat trafficking in persons in the United Republic of Tanzania since 2005, focusing on prevention, victims’ protection, assistance and identification.

Most cases of trafficking in persons identified in the United Republic of Tanzania are internal, involving mainly children, girls, boys and women.  However, Tanzania also serves as a country of origin, transit and destination for international trafficking in persons.  According to the Anti Trafficking in Persons Act of 2008, the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) within the Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) has been assigned the role of “taking adequate measures for protection, rehabilitation and assistance to rescued victims”.

 

Since 2011, with the start of the United Nations Development Assistance Plan (UNDAP 20112015) to which IOM is part of, IOM is working on a structured collaboration with the Tanzanian Government and UN Agencies in order to among others, provide technical assistance and capacity building to the Anti- Trafficking Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Social Welfare, and other stakeholders such as police, magistrates, public prosecutors and NGOs to respond to cases of trafficking in persons.

 

In the framework of UNDAPII Violence Against Women and Children protection Working Group, IOM in collaboration with other UN agencies supports Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Local Government Authorities (LGAs), Law enforcement agencies and selected Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to have improved technical skills to prevent and respond to cases of abuse/violence/exploitation of children.  Specifically, IOM is currently working with different stakeholders to enhance their coordination mechanisms in responding to cases of trafficking in persons, including victim’s protection and prosecution of traffickers

Objective of the consultancy: 

The specific task is to map service providers and referral networks to develop a directory on service providers for victims of trafficking in persons.

Expected tasks and deliverables:

  1. Conduct a desk review to compile and analyse previous initiatives to map service providers for victims of trafficking. The review should be no more than five pages long and submitted to IOM as a separate document.
  2. Under the guidance of IOM Tanzania and in close collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, hold brief interviews with individual stakeholders to establish their roles in referral networks, and their collaboration with other service providers such as:
    • Ministry of Home Affairs -, the Anti-Trafficking Committee and its Secretariat, the Police Department, and the Immigration Department,
    • The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP),
    • Local Government Authorities
    • Social welfare Officers.
    • The Judiciary, specifically Magistrates and Public Prosecutors,
    • The Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elders and Children
    • Referral Hospitals and
    • Selected International Organizations and Non – Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
    • The interviews with at least three key stakeholders per location including a minimum of five NGOs, five Police Posts and five Government Hospitals, will take place in Dar es Salaam as well as in the following six zones of the country: Lake zone (Mwanza, Mara, Kagera); Northern zone (Tanga, Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro); Western zone (Kigoma, Tabora, Shinyanga); Southern zone ( Iringa, Mbeya, Rukwa, Songea, Lindi, Mtwara, Ruvuma); Central Zone (Singida, Dodoma) and Eastern zone (Morogoro, Pwani). For these meetings, the Consultant will follow an itinerary agreed with IOM Tanzania

 

  1. Prepare the first draft directory on service providers for victims of trafficking in Persons in Tanzania and share it with IOM for comments and approval.
  2. Incorporate comments from IOM for the second draft version
  3. Attend and co-facilitate a meeting with key stakeholders to present the second draft of the directory for the collection of inputs on the draft. The meeting will involve, at a minimum – the Ministry of Home Affairs – the Police Department, the Immigration Department, the DPP, local government authorities, Department of social welfare officers in the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC), the Anti-Trafficking Committee and its Secretariat; the Judiciary, specifically Magistrates; the Ministry of Community Development Gender and Children-Gender and Children Department, and selected International Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
  4. Incorporate the collected comments and share the third draft of the Directory via e-mail with IOM and, following IOM’s approval, with the involved stakeholders.
  5. Prepare the final draft of the Directory and submit it to IOM by e-mail.
  6. Prepare a simple Database of Service Providers in Microsoft Excel.

 

Shape and content of the results

  • Directory on Service Providers for Victims of Human Trafficking in Tanzania in English should be a compact and user friendly booklet printed with the following specifications: designed light and easy to use; 40 pages maximum printed two sided; name of government/NGO institution, region/district/ward, legal status and name of agency where registered, date of registration, designation of a contact person within an organization (name and title), location/physical address, postal address of an organization and city, telephone number, fax number, e – mail address, website, vision, mission, summary of area of work of an organization (prosecution, investigation, legal aid, accommodation, psychosocial counselling etc.) and type of an organization.
  • The first page of the directory should have an introduction/foreword
  • Database in Excel containing information on service providers 4) IOM reserves the copyright of the final directory and database.

Training Centre for Development Cooperation (TCDC) located in Usa River, Arusha, Tanzania, is part of AADK. The position, responsibilities and tasks

The Director of Operations has the day to day responsibility for all financial and administrative (F&A) matters. S/he will be responsible for achieving the set goals within F&A including financial, HR or procedural objectives. And s/he is responsible for ensuring that guidelines and procedures are followed as set by MS AADK, in close collaboration with the Finance Department of MS AADK.

The Director of Operations reports to the Executive Director of TCDC, who has the final responsibility at the executive level. The Executive Director, Programs Director and Director of Operations make up the Leadership Team of TCDC and thus contribute to the overall management and development of the Centre. The Operations and Programs Directors are jointly responsible for the day to day business of TCDC under the leadership of the Executive Director. The Director of Operations assumes the deputy function as Acting Executive Director when relevant.

The Director of Operations has direct responsibility for a team comprising six operating units/departments, namely; Finance, Services Quality, Catering, Front Office and Course Administration, Facility Management and Human Resources. Each unit/department has a Team Leader/Manager who reports directly to the Director of Operations.

An illustrative listing of the tasks entailed will include:

Finance:

Oversee the preparations and update of budgets in collaboration with TCDC department heads, including monthly follow-up.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounts and report in a timely manner to AADK in line with the AADK standards.
Oversee the annual audit
Maintaining TCDC’s financial and administrative software (NAV and CRM).
Oversee the development of relevant financial management reports for decision making.

Front Office & Course Administration:

Maintain and update guidelines in all areas of TCDC.
Oversee the provision of administrative support for front office and course administration.

Facilities Management:

Support the facilities management function
Oversee internal and external procurement of services and good for the entire Centre.
Implement and maintain IT infrastructure at TCDC, including continued digitalization of administrative functions.

Service Quality:

Support cost-effectiveness and quality of service delivery by the Finance, Catering, Facilities and Front Office and Course Administration.
Ensure high quality standard of TCDC services as per Centre’s policies and maintain all customer satisfaction.

Catering:

Ensure a smooth management of the Catering section in order to achieve its objectives of providing a high standard catering service to TCDC customers and other users.

Human Resources:

Oversee the HR function within TCDC.
Support the maintenance and development of HR structural framework, such as personnel reports, annual staff appraisals and interviews and oversight over staff leave.
Oversee implementation of all relevant AA/AADK policies in areas such as SHEA, Code of Conduct, Procurement, Anti-Corruption, Health and Safety, and Security.
Initiate bi-annual negotiations with the trade union (RAAWU).

Supporting roles:

Work with relevant staff to support new business opportunities and facilitate return-business to achieve revenue goals.
Support Fundraising and Partnership functions by participating in the development and management of relationships to secure investment and sustainability of programs

Day to day responsibilities:

On a typical day the Director of Operations will be required to address a few personnel related issues; monitor maintenance works on campus; seek solutions to IT accessibility concerns, provide mentoring support to a staff member and oversee the preparation of reporting on finances. Aside of this you will be expected to participate in regular meetings including:

Weekly TCDC Leadership Team meetings
Monthly TCDC Management Forum meetings
Bi-monthly AADK/TCDC Technical Committee meetings
Bi-annual Partnership Board meetings

The Director of Operations must be prepared to be both hands-on and strategic, i.e. s/he will be involved in both solving and overseeing concrete tasks and in more overall leadership issues such as business development and strategy development. It will be considered an asset if s/he has a commercial mindset and have experience from a social enterprise.

To fulfill this position, s/he will need to lead and manage a streamlined operational setup, which supports the program activities of the Centre based on a high level of service and well-functioning systems and structures. But s/he will also need to contribute to the overall success of the Centre by demonstrating strategic leadership and help develop the business of TCDC e.g. by seeking out new growth opportunities in both training offers and in auxiliary areas such as support services and rental of facilities.
Qualifications

In order for the Director of Operations to be successful in this position, we consider the following qualifications as needed:

Degree in Business/Economics, or relevant education.
Minimum 5 years of experience with financial management, budgeting, and accounting. Experience with personnel administration.
Fluency in written and spoken English.

Moreover, the following criteria are desirable:

Prior working experience in Africa.
Knowledge of development work, intercultural cooperation and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of Danish Finance legislation and auditing principles
Previous experience in a business enterprise or a training Centre.
Knowledge on marketing training services.
Knowledge of oral and written Swahili
Knowledge of personal data protection as well as IT systems such as Microsoft office, Microsoft Office 365, CRM systems, and Navision.

The Director of Operations should possess the following personal qualities:

Ability to delegate responsibility and involving employees in decision making and work planning.
Cultural and social sensitivity and ability to work and cooperate with a wide range of different groups in a multicultural team.
Well-developed communication skills.
Flexibility and willingness to put in the extra effort when needed.
Political and diplomatic flair and entrepreneurial instincts.

AADK offers

The position is offered under a TCDC fixed term contract of three (3) years with the possibility of extension depending on the future programmatic focus and needs of TCDC.
The position is based in Arusha, Tanzania, in a dynamic working environment with non-formal atmosphere.
A basic salary under ActionAid International’s salary system – grade F, relocation and education allowance when relevant.
Housing is provided by TCDC.

Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and nongovernmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Background/Rationale:

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has been working with the Government, international and local partners to combat trafficking in persons in the United Republic of Tanzania since 2005, focusing on prevention, victims’ protection, assistance and identification.

Most cases of trafficking in persons identified in the United Republic of Tanzania are internal, involving mainly children, girls, boys and women.  However, Tanzania also serves as a country of origin, transit and destination for international trafficking in persons.  According to the Anti Trafficking in Persons Act of 2008, the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) within the Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) has been assigned the role of “taking adequate measures for protection, rehabilitation and assistance to rescued victims”.

Since 2011, with the start of the United Nations Development Assistance Plan (UNDAP 20112015) to which IOM is part of, IOM is working on a structured collaboration with the Tanzanian Government and UN Agencies in order to among others, provide technical assistance and capacity building to the Anti- Trafficking Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Social Welfare, and other stakeholders such as police, magistrates, public prosecutors and NGOs to respond to cases of trafficking in persons.

In the framework of UNDAPII Violence Against Women and Children protection Working Group, IOM in collaboration with other UN agencies supports Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Local Government Authorities (LGAs), Law enforcement agencies and selected Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to have improved technical skills to prevent and respond to cases of abuse/violence/exploitation of children.  Specifically, IOM is currently working with different stakeholders to enhance their coordination mechanisms in responding to cases of trafficking in persons, including victim’s protection and prosecution of traffickers

Objective of the consultancy: 

The specific task is to map service providers and referral networks to develop a directory on service providers for victims of trafficking in persons.

Expected tasks and deliverables:

Conduct a desk review to compile and analyse previous initiatives to map service providers for victims of trafficking. The review should be no more than five pages long and submitted to IOM as a separate document.

Under the guidance of IOM Tanzania and in close collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, hold brief interviews with individual stakeholders to establish their roles in referral networks, and their collaboration with other service providers such as:

Ministry of Home Affairs -, the Anti-Trafficking Committee and its Secretariat, the Police Department, and the Immigration Department,

The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP),

Local Government Authorities

Social welfare Officers.

The Judiciary, specifically Magistrates and Public Prosecutors,

The Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elders and Children

Referral Hospitals andSelected International Organizations and Non – Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

The interviews with at least three key stakeholders per location including a minimum of five NGOs, five Police Posts and five Government Hospitals, will take place in Dar es Salaam as well as in the following six zones of the country: Lake zone (Mwanza, Mara, Kagera); Northern zone (Tanga, Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro); Western zone (Kigoma, Tabora, Shinyanga); Southern zone ( Iringa, Mbeya, Rukwa, Songea, Lindi, Mtwara, Ruvuma); Central Zone (Singida, Dodoma) and Eastern zone (Morogoro, Pwani). For these meetings, the Consultant will follow an itinerary agreed with IOM Tanzania

Prepare the first draft directory on service providers for victims of trafficking in Persons in Tanzania and share it with IOM for comments and approval.

Incorporate comments from IOM for the second draft version

Attend and co-facilitate a meeting with key stakeholders to present the second draft of the directory for the collection of inputs on the draft. The meeting will involve, at a minimum – the Ministry of Home Affairs – the Police Department, the Immigration Department, the DPP, local government authorities, Department of social welfare officers in the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC), the Anti-Trafficking Committee and its Secretariat; the Judiciary, specifically Magistrates; the Ministry of Community Development Gender and Children-Gender and Children Department, and selected International Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

Incorporate the collected comments and share the third draft of the Directory via e-mail with IOM and, following IOM’s approval, with the involved stakeholders.

Prepare the final draft of the Directory and submit it to IOM by e-mail.

Prepare a simple Database of Service Providers in Microsoft Excel.

Shape and content of the results

Directory on Service Providers for Victims of Human Trafficking in Tanzania in English should be a compact and user friendly booklet printed with the following specifications: designed light and easy to use; 40 pages maximum printed two sided; name of government/NGO institution, region/district/ward, legal status and name of agency where registered, date of registration, designation of a contact person within an organization (name and title), location/physical address, postal address of an organization and city, telephone number, fax number, e – mail address, website, vision, mission, summary of area of work of an organization (prosecution, investigation, legal aid, accommodation, psychosocial counselling etc.) and type of an organization.

The first page of the directory should have an introduction/foreword

Database in Excel containing information on service providers 4) IOM reserves the copyright of the final directory and database.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION

Qualifications: Master’s degree in political sciences/ Law/ International relations or Social

Sciences; Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.); Research Skills; Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Kiswahili language is an asset, written and spoken.

Experience:

Five years of experience working on social protection issues. Extensive experience in facilitation of meetings with a participatory approach.

Proactive in seeking participation and inputs from stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work alone with minimum supervision, under time pressure and challenging circumstances. Able to deliver results within tight deadlines and with attention to detail.

Advanced technical understanding of key concepts, issues, actors, and processes in trafficking in persons.

A minimum of 5 years of work experience in both quantitative and qualitative research and data collection

Good knowledge of and experience of working with the UN is an advantage.
